Managerial Effectiveness Training by Seema Dasgupta

We had a training from Monday to Wednesday on Managerial effectiveness taken by Ma'm Seema Dasgupta.. she was a nice lady.. three things were gr8.. got to know a lot of people.. best thing was rotating people after every exercise thus enabling each of us to know most of us [:)] .. in addition, first time i learnt something from a HR kinda sessions.. first thing which struck was during the game in which though I liked the idea of Kirti Singh Rawat of keeping the shaving mirror on top of the list due to his logic.. however, i gave it up and he din't spoke too... however, i realised that i could have put a fight for him if the logic sounded full proof to me.. i thus learnt that no matter what happens, if in future i come across anything which sounds logical to me I would support that.. doesn't matter how many people wud be opposing.. nor it wud matter if i was initially not liking the idea.. but sound logic wud be criteria irrespective of personal biases..

second day i was struck hard by the fact that i wasn't able to write 4 goals of my life... it was hard to put them into words and more importantly writing them in sucha way so that they are SMART goals.. (Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Related, Time bound).. i know now what i have to do.. i will have to actively work towards the goals to achieve them and put them in words..

third day i was again dumbstruck when during the game of jigsaw puzzles our team was struggling the most... though my square was completed very early.. however, joe was struggling and i could see that.. what i shud have done is to pass on my complete square to him and make the square myself so that team's targets gets done.. collaboration of highest extent was required and i missed in doin tht.. however, it was a learnin expereince and i will follow tht.. thanks ma'm...
